Quote of the Day

I remembered in high school, I was always the careful person, always taking the surest path. Then when I was in college, I found that I was taking a lot more risks than I did thus far in my life. I decided I can't be afraid of doing things that need to get done. I used to hate calling people I don't really know very well on the phone. But I’ve realized I'm never going to make it on my own if I am afraid to be assertive and if I put off what I need to do to get things done.

For example, if I was trying to work or study I couldn't be afraid to tell my roommate and her friends to be quiet or leave. Before, I would just have let them be obnoxious and be frustrated upset the entire time because I was afraid others would think I am mean. But, now I know better than to let that stop me. So, even little risks like that can be significant.

Face your fears and start taking the risk! It doesn't need to be a big thing, like starting your own business. You could start with the simple thing in your life, like my story earlier. You wouldn't know if you could get what you want, unless you do something you have never done!

PS: In this case, only apply to do the positive things that will improve your value, not in the negative things

So, what do you guys are normally afraid of?? Did you tend to do the things you are afraid of or to escape from it?? If you don't mind, you could share it in the comment section.

Review: Kérastase Nutritive Nectar Thermique

Hi pretties (:

Today I wanna share about my favorite heat protectant for this past year.
et Voila...

Kérastase Nutritive Nectar Thermique is a great product, probably the best heat protectant I've ever used. It moisturizes my hair and particularly prevents heat damage.

I actually knew this product few years back, but reluctant to try it, since most of Kérastase product is quite pricey. But then one of the employee of my favorite hair dresser suggested to try this product. Considering that I did so much damaging to my hair, by hair coloring, straightening or curling it, I decided to invest in the product which I will definitely use, especially to prevent more serious damages to my hair.

And so glad I've tried this product... It has been my second bottle and definitely still gonna get the third one, since this product is awesome and I use it pretty often.
Ingredients: Aqua/water, C13-16 isoparaffin, propylene glycol, dimethicone, phenoxyethanol, PEG/PPG-17/18 dimethicone, triethanolamine, carbomer, potato starch modified, behentrimonium chloride, hydroxypropyl guar, polyquaternium-4, methylparaben, amodimethicone, benzophene-4, linalool, butylphenyl methylpropional, hexyl cinnamal, benzyl salicylate, trideceth-6, citronellol, xylose, alpha-isomethyl ionone, benzyl alcohol, citronellol, xylose, alpha-isomethyl ionone, benzyl alcohol, hydroxycitronellal, coumarin, limonene, cetrimonium chloride, royal jelly/royal jelly extract, parfum/fragrance
I later found that this product is terrific since it contains royal jelly as a natural extract that helps protect the hair.

How to use:
Normally, I applied this after shower, on my slightly damp hair, then blow dry and style using hot tools, like hair straightener or curling iron. I also use this even when my hair is dry. Be careful not to put so much amount on to keep your hair from turning sticky. I could feel how easy to manage and style my hair when I applied it before. It also hydrates the hair, almost as deep as hair mask and leaves my hair looks smooth and shiny. The scent is refreshing for me and it does last quite a while.

The only drawback that might hold us back is probably about the price. But, in fact it worth the result and of course I and you all are worth to look fantastic!! Other than that, I have no complaint about this product. I can't find any reasons not to recommend you all to try this awesome heat protectant!

So, what do you think of the product if you've tried it?? Or do you have any other favorite heat protectant?? If you don't mind, it would be nice if you could share it in the comment section.

Caviar Manicure Nail Trend

Dear all,

Firstly I do apologize that I've been MIA for a little while.. but now I'm back with the newest nail trend post for you all my fellow nail polish addicts.

Taken from www.vogue.de
Taken from today.msnbc.msn.com
Taken from www.flickr.com
I was absolutely stunned by those images first time I saw it. The nails look so festive and adorable with multicolor beads on. I've never seen anything like this before.

This trend is actually called Caviar ManicureI thought this manicure will be perfect for going out to a fancy event. But, not a typical everyday manicure I guess.

Until now I found Ciaté Caviar Manicure is the only product stocked in the market, but I guess it's still unavailable in Indonesia :( so sad...I really wish to be able to try it!! Or maybe I gonna do some DIY Caviar Manicure instead...

My only concern is about the beads will fall out all over the place. However, as far as I read the Ciaté review, its beads (called caviar) will stay up in place up to 48 hours. That's why I'm craving to try Ciaté version too... If you wish to order it online, you actually could get it at Sephora for $25.00 per kit. The set contains of:
- 0.45 oz Paint Pot Nail Polish
- 0.47 oz Caviar Pearls
- Funnel
- Tray

So... what do you all think?? Will you try this Caviar Manicure Trend?? And please let me know if you would like me to do DIY Caviar Manicure in the comment section.

Review: Burberry Body Eau de Parfum Intense

Hi beauties...

Talking about fragrances, I always excited to try something different from the scents I usually wear. For my last Valentine's day, I received this Burberry Body Eau de Parfum in 60 ml size from my boyfriendI was totally excited when I first received it, since I was longing for trying it after saw how sexy and classy Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is in the Burberry Body commercial.

And..I was right, the scent is more into mature, sexy and seductive scent. I really like the scent; a feminine and sensual floral woody fragrance with a classic and luxurious touch. I would say that the advertisement interpret Burberry image really well.

Taken from: graziadaily.co.uk
I would not lie that I was caught by the bottle design at first. It is a long skinny glass bottle with the gold rose accents and engraving craft a feeling of luxury and glamour that is essential to the iconic brand. Refers to the name of the perfume, Burberry Body, I guess the bottle design imaged as the human body.

Ingredients: Alcoholdenat, Parfum (Fragrance), Aqua (Water), Alpha-isomethyl, Ionone, Butyl Methoxdibenzoyl-methane, Ethylhexyl, Methoxycinnamate, Hydroxyisohexyl 3-cyclohexene, Carboxaldehyde, Ethylhexyl Salicylate, Isoeugenol, Citronellol, Limonene, Citric Acid, Geraniol, Benzyl Alcohol, Eugenol, Linalool, CI 14700, CI 19140, CI 42090

What do I love?
I would say that I love all about this perfume. Due to the elegant and sleek bottle design, the feminine and sensual scent, even the lasting power which absolutely amazing.

What I don't like?
I have no complain about it. I happily wear this perfume all the time. However, I know the scent might be a love-hate relationship for some of you, since we all have different taste and preference. There are many other reviews where many people just don't like the scent as much as the bottle and advertisement. Some of them said that it smells too strong or too heavy, and kinda old-lady typical perfume. I totally could see why some of you think the smell is likely the stereotypical old-lady perfume. I would not suggest this fragrance for teenager, under 20 years old. I have pictured myself that I might not prefer this scent when I was away younger.I have been more into sweet floral scent person. However, as long as time goes by, I have slightly different taste then.  Until about two years back, I was attracted more into light sweet, warm, and classic scents.

After all, since I love this fragrance, I would recommend Burberry Body Eau De Parfum to all of you. But, I suggest you to get the sample or tester at the nearest counter before buying the real perfume. Just make sure first whether you will love or dislike the scent! Let me know in the comment below, what do you think of this fragrance?? I also open for all suggestions for what kind of post you would like to read.

Lastly, thank you all for reading ;)

NOTW: Contrast Manicures

Hello beauties... Back again with my Nail of the Week's update XD

I was a bit bored lately to paint all my nails with the same colors. That's why I've been searched for some current nail trends through magazine and internet. Then, I decided to play around with one of the trends, which is called contrast manicures, where you paint your nails within the same color scheme for a refined contrast or even with totally different colors for stronger accent.

I painted my nail pastel minty color with tint of jade green on my ring finger. Those colors paired together is really a nice combo. It definitely screams spring-y theme for me.

Below are nail polishes I used to create the look!!

"Essie Mint Candy Apple - Winter 2009 Sweet Time of Year Collection"
I bought it at Enchanté Yourlittlesecret
It's very pretty pastel minty green to wear. I currently obsessed with mint color, which obviously the color of the season. Essie Mint Candy Apple is definitely my favorite mint polish, and with 3 coats you'll get it perfect.

"OPI Jade is the New Black - Hong Kong Spring 2010 Collection"
Got mine at Enchanté Yourlittlesecret
This jade green polish is a gorgeous unique green. I couldn't find any dupe of this shade up to now.  I could easily have gotten away with only two coats. This color looks classy and edgy at the same time.

What do you all think of this trend?? If you do recreate it, tell me in the comment what colors do you like to pair together??

Quote of the Day

This quote always inspires me not to be afraid to try something new in life.
No matter though it's gonna be a failure at the end.
Never let the fear of failure stop you for doing what you wanna do.
People will always make mistakes, that's the reality of life...
Just don't repeat the same mistake twice!!
That's why make a new mistake and learn from that...
