Review: NYX 10 Color Eyeshadow Palette The Runway Collection- Haute Model

Hi lovelies...

I'd admit that I've caught by NYX brand lately. I love how affordable NYX cosmetic is, yet offers great quality. I just got their Runway Collection 10 color Eyeshadow Palette in the "Haute Model", and "Romancefrom Enchanté Yourlittlesecret. I bought quite a lot of my beauty necessities there, since it's a trusted beauty online shop and owned by my best friend. So, I'd suggest you all to check their Facebook account by clicking the name above.

This time, I'll start with my review of the " Haute Model " palette first, since I was really excited to do the color swatch from this palette.

It comes with a compact box
Top row (left to right)Deep olive green, dark plum, light frosty pink, dark forest green, medium charcoal silver
Bottom row (left to right)Dark indigo, medium brown with gold glitters, dark silver, dark shimmery silver w/ blue undertone, light shimmery teal

My Final Verdict:
OMG.. I love how fun this palette with those variety of shades; all the colors are beautiful, soft, shimmery and smokey, and the pigmentation is truly great. I used the dark shimmery silver w/ blue undertone shade on my lids, both dark and medium silver in my crease and the light pink on my brow bone a week ago, and was amazed by its staying power.
Other thing that I love is the packaging. It's black, simple, small, sleek, easy to carry around, and comes with a full mirror. It looks like a professional eyeshadow palette in mini size. I absolutely recommend this palette, especially for anyone is looking for soft smokey color.

The only downside for me is when you swatch the dark indigo color (1st left -  bottom row) looks kinda similar to the dark shimmery silver w/ blue undertone color (2nd to last right - bottom row) from a far, since both shades pick up more blue undertone. However, when you get close to the dark shimmery silver with blue undertone, you actually just get notice of the slightly silver shade.

In my perspective, for under Rp. 150.000, this eyeshadow palette is totally a steal. Without spending a fortune, you could feel a really good quality eyeshadow palette. If you would like to buy this particular palette, I definitely recommend it, but make sure you are drawn to the colors beforehand.

Have any of you tried NYX 10 color Eyeshadow Palette before?? If you do, which one is your favorite??

NOTW: DIY Ombré Nail Art

Hi girls,

Ombré trend is really hot right now. We could easily find this trend in clothing, hairstyles, and even nail design. This time, I would like to share how I do my DIY Ombré Nail Art. If you like to play around with the nail trend, I recommend you to try this trend too. It's just so easy and simple!!
Products I used:
1. Base coat
2. White nail polish, my usual Orly French Manicure Nail Lacquer
3. Soft light blue creme nail polish, which is China Glaze Electric Beat. It is my absolute favorite blue shade, and promise I'll do the review ASAP
4. Top coat
5. Makeup sponge (I'm using my unused powder sponge)
6. A piece of plastic
7. FIMO nail art (optional)

How to do??
1. Start off with applying base coat

2. Then apply two coats of white polish on each finger, and allow 3-5 minutes of drying time between each coat. I used white nail polish to make the gradient color shows up better.

3. Pour a small amount of your nail polish selection on a piece of plastic. Dip the tip of makeup sponge into the polish and stipple it onto your nails, covering the lower half of your nails (to the tips).

4. To make the darker gradient color, again, dip few more times the tip of your makeup sponge into the polish, and stipple the polish over the first layer of color, starting at the tip of your nail. Instead of using the same polish, you could use the darker shade nail polish to enhance the darker effect. You could repeat the same procedure until you like the way it looks. It should look like your nails are slowly getting darker as you go from the cuticle to the tip.

5. This step is completely optional—you can add decoration to your nail with a FIMO nail art, like I do with the blue butterfly on my both thumbs.

6. Finally, apply a layer of top coat to preserve your nail design.

And voilà, you have trendy ombré nails that will be dazzling all summer long!! Please don't hesitate to share below if you try this trend too :)

Review: Bath & Body Works Dark Kiss - Fragrance Mist

Happy July everyone... !! ^^

Bath & Body Works has actually launched "Dark Kiss Collection" in Fall 2010. They launched its edition of shower gel, body lotion, fragrance mist, filled candle, bubble bath and more. I know I have been very late with this, but I just got the Dark Kiss Fragrance Mist  in hand recently. I first smelled it on my friend and love it!! That's why I decided to get my own. Without further ado, let's jump to the product's overview:

Spritz our refreshing Signature Collection Fragrance mist lavishly on your body to lightly scent your skin with our exclusive Dark kiss, a seductive blend of dark berries with a kiss of vanilla to unleash your most primal passions.

Top Notes: Bergamot, Incense, Mirabelle Plum, Black Raspberry
Mid Notes: Amber, Burgundy Rose, Geranium, Peony
Dry Notes: Dark Vanilla Bean, Labdanum, Vetiver, Sensual Balsam, Musks

What do I like?

I was attracted at first by the smell, it's a seductive scent, which I'm fan of lately. It's seductive but not too much, has a bit of sweetness too. I could smell the berries with a touch of vanilla sense. I thought it also suits the name, very sexy. I even can still smell it after hours of use. Besides, the dark purple color is just so pretty.

What are my least favorite?

Once I got the package, I already could smell the scent without opening the box. Yup, this fragrance has a very strong accent. When I first spray it on, it starts very strong and sweet. At that time, I felt like this fragrance was too sweet for me and kinda disappointed with it. However, after a while the scent actually slowly calm down and leave more seductive smell. I suggest not to spray too much, and just take few seconds between sprays since it might be too strong for you and leaves a headache.

Overall thought:

If you are like me, a seductive scent type of person, I recommend this fragrance mist for you. It's one of an addictive sexy/ sweet scent. However, if you are skeptical that the scent might be too strong for you, I recommend spraying it on your skin before deciding to get the full size. If you decide to get one, you might get it at Enchanté Yourlittlesecret.

Would you try this fragrance?? Leave me a comment below ^^
